Gallery
Compare stitched microscopy panoramas in the deep-zoom viewer—no PRIMO run required.
Using this gallery
Part of the PRIMO web demo (Demo and Video track, ACM Multimedia 2026). Stitched panoramas are shown for demonstration and method comparison only—view in the browser, not offered for download. Input image tiles from third-party sources are not redistributed on this site.
Includes PanoMic-Geo, PanoMic-GeoBig, PanoMic-Metal, PanoMic-Synth, and publicly available third-party tile collections. PanoMic full datasets, including source tiles, will be published openly after paper acceptance. Each dataset section below has source and license details. No endorsement by dataset authors, software vendors, publishers, or institutions is implied.
Comparison methods
- PRIMO — our microscopy panorama stitching method.
- Image Composite Editor (ICE) — free research tool by Microsoft Research, now retired (official project page). Baseline stitching for visual comparison.
- PanoramaStudio 4 Pro — tshsoft GmbH; commercial baseline for visual comparison.
- BigStitcher — open-source Fiji plugin for tiled microscopy image alignment and fusion; baseline for visual comparison.
- MIST — open-source Fiji plugin for 2D grid microscopy stitching with stage modeling; baseline on regular-grid datasets.
Baseline outputs were produced by us from the same tiles where applicable. Product names and trademarks belong to their respective owners; no affiliation or endorsement is implied.
PanoMic-Geo
optical reflected-light microscopy Preview subsetOptical reflected-light microscopy panoramas of geological polished sections from PanoMic-Geo. Manual tile acquisition on 4×5 or 5×5 grids; moderate illumination non-uniformity, geometric distortion, and exposure variation.
Representative preview panoramas only; full dataset including source tiles will be published after paper acceptance.
